Web Developer

Job Description

We’re on the hunt for an exceptionally talented web developer to join our Marketing Team full-time in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our ideal candidate is a programmer who understands the importance of both development and design to the success of a project; someone who loves to work in a collaborative environment and has the ability to make useful contributions to design and implementation discussions as work progresses.

SigmaTEK’s Marketing Team loves to explore new ideas. We create marketing programs, build websites, and develop content that connects people to each other and we want every interaction to be seamless, smooth and well-considered. Our web development strategies are typically formed in a group setting so you should be creative enough to work from high-level discussions in lieu of step by step specifications.

Much of our development happens with Microsoft C# and the .Net environment for server development, so you should have a strong handle on those. It goes without saying that the preferred candidate will be able to create stunning interaction with JavaScript and have experience with the jQuery library for client development. You’ll work directly with our Marketing Team and our IT department, acting as a sort of link between the two groups.

As a link between Marketing and IT, you will have some web presence management responsibilities as well. To do this you will be required to put in some study hours to get familiar with our industry.

Responsibilities

  • Program with unobtrusive Javascript and the jQuery library for client development
  • Create client applications that rely on minimal, simple, modern and standard XHTML with CSS for styling
  • Develop mobile apps for iOS, Android or Blackberry platforms
  • Work closely with our IT Manager and sweat the details
  • Write and speak professionally and with confidence and proper grammar

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft C# and the .Net environment for server development
